One of the best things is getting a tour of the hostess' stitched pieces, stash collection, stitching stations, etc. Fun. I'll only have 7 this time as it's Summer and people are gone or otherwise engaged. I will be working on one of my Cozy Toes from PFOS canvas of the month club.

This is stocking #7 out of 12. The canvases are small and to keep the cost of the kits down, PFOS consolidates the various threads used throughout all 12 canvases. I like that. They also used a wonderful variety of threads and patterns to keep it interesting.
So after my volunteer obligations this week I needed to get some hou... hou... housework done. And while a clean house is not mandatory, or even expected, I felt I should do at least a little dusting and fluff the pillows for my "peeps". So that is what I'll be doing for the remainder of the week. How about you, what are you doing?
Hi Madonna,
ReplyDeleteYes, I want to come to your monthly stitching group!!!
I love the term "Peeps"! LOL
My daughter and I usually refer to "Her People" and "My People"!!!
Isn't PFOS a wonderful shop? I haven't done one of their monthly clubs yet, but they are my NLNS (Not Local Needlework Shop), when I can't find what I need at my LNS. I have ordered a variety of canvases from them over the years. Some with and some without stitch guides. They always do a lovely job on the stitch guides and they include fun fibers.
Have you finished stitching the other six Cozy Toes stockings? If so, we need to see pictures! LOL

I wish you could join us, Cyn, if you're ever in Denver.....
ReplyDeleteI know, peeps is a riot, I did consult with my daughter, however, to make sure the term wasn't offensive in any way. :)
Funny you should ask about the first 6 stockings in the series; now would I start on #7 without having the first 6 completed? Me? Well okay, so I should be starting #4 and I skipped ahead, afterall July is the 7th month and I was just trying to stay even! In my defense, I did finish two Cozy Hats from the monthly series which, at least in my mind, excuses me for a while. We got the Hats at the same time, and only had to purchase two of them as once the monthly club is over, they will sell the individual kits.
I love PFOS and am always giving them a good review. I especially love their customer incentive program, it's very generous. And for those of you that aren't familiar with Pocket Full of Stitches in Lubbock, they do a fabulous mail order business along with having a well stocked shop. I think they're in the middle of their Christmas in July sale and have also started doing retreats.
