After all I resisted for several months, and I'm talkin' several as in at least 7 from date-o-purchase. Little voice, "But these are in your 2010 queue, not '09." "What are you doing?"

I was a Bluebird, Brownie and Girl Scout, can I help it if I'm bent on being prepared? Talk to the hand!
Now then, I think I've chosen some fun threads, Whisper, Petite Very Velvet, Alpaca, to name a few. Yes fuzzy and furry are musts, especially for the tails. The tails are calling out to be somewhat bushy whereas the bodies should be more pettable. The canvases didn't come with stitch guides but I will refer to one of my many stitch books for choosing stitches. And of course I always welcome suggestions from you.
Boy am I pooped. That was quite an event. I circled, I chose, I kitted and now I've written about it. One step closer to starting a new project. Woo Hoo! My heart is racing. Oh no, not because of that, I won't start those for a while. My heart is racing because I have roasted turkey wings in the oven and a raging snow storm looming nearby. The eau de fowl wafting has made it back to my nostrils making it impossible to carry on here. Thank you for reading all the way through. You are my friends. :)

You should be applauded for resisting as long as you did. Everyone needs a little "pick me up" in their stitching life. You did a great job of kitting those kute kanvases. I look forward to watching you stitch them in 2010. :-)
ReplyDeleteHi Kelly, Thank you, I knew I'd get support and encouragement! :)
ReplyDeleteI agree with Kelly...seven months is amazing....they were in there lurking, just calling your name, over and over, and you resisted for an incredibly long time. So, you are entitle to be rewarded!! Who says we can't just kit everything, and then just at that most opportune moment---let the stitching begin!!
ReplyDeleteI knew you'd understand, Pat. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Madonna,
ReplyDeleteI'm impressed that you waited that long before starting/kitting new projects! :-)
It's always fun to plan out and start new projects. I'm impressed that you did this without a necessary visit to the LNS! LOL!!!

Cyn,
ReplyDeleteI do have quite a bit of semi organized stash here at home; I pick up threads whenever I notice I am low on a specific color, and just buy that color in various things. Since my threads are organized by color it's easy to recognize I need to "restock":). The two canvases shown were purchased when I was in Lubbuck, TX last Fall for my annual birthday spree. Like others, I buy some over the Internet, would prefer to buy locally but it's not always possible. I keep threatening to join a TOTM club. Can anyone recommend any they particularly like? Always good to hear from you, thanks for visiting.
